Ingredients:

  • 170g crushed pretzels
  • 75g unsalted butter, melted
  • 25g granulated sugar
  • 225g cream cheese, softened
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 250g whipped topping, thawed
  • 85g strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 240ml boiling water
  • 240ml ice-cold water
  • 300g fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes until the crust smells nutty and looks golden brown.
  5. Allow the crust to cool completely to room temperature before adding the next layer.
  6. Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  7. Gently fold in the whipped topping until no white streaks remain.
  8. Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  9. Place the dish in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  10. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  11. Stir in the ice-cold water.
  12. Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  13. Carefully pour the prepared strawberry gelatin mixture over the strawberries, ensuring they are evenly covered.
  14. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours and 10 minutes, or until the gelatin is fully set.
