Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs mixed heirloom tomatoes
  • 8 oz Burrata, fresh Mozzarella, or Ricotta
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn by hand
  • 1 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

Instructions:

  1. Slice the heirloom tomatoes into varying thicknesses—some thick rounds, some wedges—and arrange them in an overlapping pattern on a large serving platter.
  2. In a small jar, combine the olive oil, vinegar, minced garlic, honey, and oregano. Shake vigorously or whisk until the mixture is emulsified and creamy.
  3. Tear the Burrata or Mozzarella into bite-sized chunks and nestle them between the tomato slices. Drizzle the dressing evenly over the top.
  4. Finish by scattering torn basil leaves, a generous pinch of flaky sea salt, and cracked black pepper over the salad.
