Ingredients:
- 2 lbs mixed heirloom tomatoes
- 8 oz Burrata, fresh Mozzarella, or Ricotta
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn by hand
- 1 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
Instructions:
- Slice the heirloom tomatoes into varying thicknesses—some thick rounds, some wedges—and arrange them in an overlapping pattern on a large serving platter.
- In a small jar, combine the olive oil, vinegar, minced garlic, honey, and oregano. Shake vigorously or whisk until the mixture is emulsified and creamy.
- Tear the Burrata or Mozzarella into bite-sized chunks and nestle them between the tomato slices. Drizzle the dressing evenly over the top.
- Finish by scattering torn basil leaves, a generous pinch of flaky sea salt, and cracked black pepper over the salad.
