Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
- 0.5 cup classic red pizza sauce
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 0.5 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1 cup pickled banana pepper rings, drained and patted dry
- 1.5 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 0.5 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.5 cup pepperoni slices
Instructions:
- Place a baking steel or stone in the oven and preheat to 400°F (200°C). Allow it to heat for at least 20 minutes.
- On a piece of parchment paper, stretch or roll the room-temperature dough into a 14-inch circle.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
- Combine shredded mozzarella and provolone. Distribute evenly over the sauce.
- Top with the thoroughly dried banana pepper rings and pepperoni slices.
- Brush the dough border with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan.
- Slide the pizza (on the parchment) onto the hot stone. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is mahogany-colored and cheese is bubbly.
