Ingredients:

  • 1 lb pizza dough, room temperature
  • 0.5 cup classic red pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup pickled banana pepper rings, drained and patted dry
  • 1.5 cups low-moisture mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup pepperoni slices

Instructions:

  1. Place a baking steel or stone in the oven and preheat to 400°F (200°C). Allow it to heat for at least 20 minutes.
  2. On a piece of parchment paper, stretch or roll the room-temperature dough into a 14-inch circle.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
  4. Combine shredded mozzarella and provolone. Distribute evenly over the sauce.
  5. Top with the thoroughly dried banana pepper rings and pepperoni slices.
  6. Brush the dough border with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan.
  7. Slide the pizza (on the parchment) onto the hot stone. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is mahogany-colored and cheese is bubbly.
