Ingredients:

  • fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • sea salt
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • panko breadcrumbs
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • cracked black pepper
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash the green beans thoroughly and dry them completely with a kitchen towel to prevent steaming.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the dry green beans with the extra virgin olive oil until every bean is evenly coated.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Sprinkle the dry seasoning mixture over the oiled beans. Use your hands to toss and press the mixture onto the beans to ensure maximum adhesion.
  5. Spread the beans in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast for 12 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and the beans are tender-crisp.
