Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Mix
  • 1 1/3 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk gently until ingredients are just incorporated. Leave small lumps in the batter to ensure a tender texture; do not over-mix.
  3. Allow the batter to rest for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your waffle iron to a medium-high setting.
  4. Lightly coat the waffle iron plates with non-stick spray or brushed oil.
  5. Pour approximately 1/2 cup of batter into the center of the iron and close the lid.
  6. Cook until the visible steam stops escaping from the sides of the iron and the waffle is a deep, mahogany golden brown.
  7. Remove the waffle and place on a wire cooling rack briefly to maintain crispness before serving.
