Ingredients:
- 2 cups Bisquick Original Mix
- 1 1/3 cups Whole Milk
- 1 Large Egg
- 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk gently until ingredients are just incorporated. Leave small lumps in the batter to ensure a tender texture; do not over-mix.
- Allow the batter to rest for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your waffle iron to a medium-high setting.
- Lightly coat the waffle iron plates with non-stick spray or brushed oil.
- Pour approximately 1/2 cup of batter into the center of the iron and close the lid.
- Cook until the visible steam stops escaping from the sides of the iron and the waffle is a deep, mahogany golden brown.
- Remove the waffle and place on a wire cooling rack briefly to maintain crispness before serving.
