Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken tenders
  • 1 cup (60g) Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp (2g) paprika
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) unsalted almond milk or skim milk
  • Cooking spray (olive oil or avocado oil)
  • 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp (63g) honey
  • 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp (5ml) lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Set up the breading station: in one bowl whisk the egg and milk; in a second bowl combine Panko, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip each chicken tender into the egg wash, then press firmly into the Panko mixture until fully enveloped.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  4. Arrange tenders in a single layer in the basket and spray the tops generously with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. While the chicken rests for 2 minutes, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a medium bowl.
  7. Quickly toss the hot tenders in the honey butter glaze until lightly coated.
